Shera felicitates Dr Fardows

LONDON: Councillor Dr James Shera, former mayor of Rugby, congratulated the Edwardes College, Peshawar, Principal — Brigadier (retd) Dr Nayer Fardows, on being elected Chairman of the Board of Governors of the FC College University, Lahore.

Dr Shera said: “Dr. Fardows is a living proof of the contribution of minorities in nation building. He has served in the armed forces of Pakistan honourably, and is now contributing to educating generations of Pakistanis regardless of their creed, or background; in accordance with the Quaid Azam’s vision of an inclusive Pakistan. We, as a community, are very proud of him, and pray that God will help him to achieve all his goals.”

Dr Fardows is also the Chairman of the HRM Committee, and a member of the Board of Governors of the Kinnaird College University Lahore; as well as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors, of the Gordon College, Rawalpindi. The statement was endorsed by UK Pakistani Christian leaders, including: Dr Peter David, Councillor Morris Johns, Advocate Qamar Shams, Bishop Yousaf Nadeem Bhinder, Reverend John Bosco, and Michael Massey.
