Why should we talk about a project that will never see the light of the day? The Kalabagh Dam has been in the news for as long as one can remember but nothing has come out of it. Now again it is in the news.
If nothing has happened in the last three decades to get the dam going, what makes anyone think that something is going to happen in the next three? So why flog a dead horse? Why not start thinking about making a number of smaller dams which, though not as all encompassing as the Kalabagh Dam would, at least, be doable and solve to a great extent our power problem? But no – it is the Kalabagh Dam or bust. So bust it is.
