Thespian Faizan Sheikh has been in the showbiz since 2011. He started his career as a model and in no time he became famous owing to his good looks. But modelling was just a stepping stone; being a son of veteran actress Parveen Akbar, acting seemed like a natural career option for him. He soon established himself as a credible theatre actor. He then made his acting debut on television with ‘Mann Ke Moti’ on Geo. He has worked in a number of drama serials including ‘Riffat Aapa ki Bahuein’, ‘Mera Naam Yousuf Hai’, ‘Main aur Tum’, ‘Ghairat’, ‘Saaya’ etc.

He made his film debut in 2016 with ‘Maalik’. After that, he showed up in another Pakistani film ‘Parchi’ starring Hareem Farooq, Ali Rehman, Ahmad Ali Akbar, and few others.

His latest movie ‘Heer Maan Ja’ is currently in cinemas with Hareem and Ali Rehman. Let’s see what are the likes & dislikes of this multi-talented actor:

I played the character of a drug addict in the drama; ‘Ghairat’. It has been my most memorable character till date.

I am a film student so I always wanted to do films. I’ve done theatre and TV so I was looking forward to explore this medium as well.

All the projects that I have done before ‘Heer Maan Ja’ were comedy but every project was a hit one. People remember me through comic roles, but ‘Heer Maan Ja’ is special because my character was different from the ones I had done so far in my career.

My Character in ‘Heer Maan Ja’ is Wajdaan who is basically a spoiled brat. Though Wajdaan is a villain, the audience still finds it easy to relate to him because he is a very humane character; one that we come across often in our daily lives. Moreover, Wajdaan is not just a villain for the sake of it, there is a twist in the movie that shows why Wajdaan is who he is.

No, I will never do any Indian movie even if I get any offer.

There is no particular designer though I love to wear Eastern clothes, and for that Sabyasachi is my favourite. In local designers I like Republic by Umer Farooq and Nomi Ansari.

I don’t have a single favourite photographer. There are so many people who are doing a great job like; Yasir Sadiq and Tapu Javeri.

I am not really a brand conscious person, but when I go abroad, I shop from Zara, Massimo Dutti, and PULL&BEAR.

If you ask me about daily wear, I like wearing shorts and t-shirt but I like wearing shalwar kameez more than western clothes.

There are so many favorite co-stars but Addi is on the top, Ali Abbas is a fun person to work with. Other than that Iqra aziz, Hareem Farooq, Ali Rehman Khan are my favourite as well.

Perfume is one thing that I cannot live without, and my collection of perfumes definitely speaks for that.

I have severe OCD, sometimes I can control it but sometimes it gets out of control.

Liars and hypocrites.

Instagram, Twitter then Facebook.

Probably a good movie with my family or cricket with friends.

My collection of shoes.

I am into healthy habits only because of my friend Ali Khan. He is the reason behind my good health who keeps a check and balance on my diet.

My family.

Steak by CFU is my favorite.

‘The Shawshank Redemption’, ‘Black and Dark Knight’.

Staying at home all day long!

My work.

I just play cricket.

I am not a breakfast person; I just have coffee or tea.

Push-ups.

Dubai or London.

I want to go back to 1920s and to meet Quaid-e-Azam.

It depends. Sometimes dhabaas and sometimes coffee shops.

I don’t envy any superstar, I want to be one.

Everyone needs to be responsible and accountable for their bad deeds.

Heer Maan Ja’s title track.

Perfume.

Nothing on my bedside table right now, but I have read a lot of books. The last I read was by Ali Imran sahib.

‘Sanju’.

I check my phone.

I try to catchup on my rest because I sleep very little.

Expectations lead to disappointments, don’t expect.

I still feel uncomfortable when I am surrounded by people.

Working in the same industry but at a better place.
