Zara Abid talks about her role in upcoming biopic, Chaudhry

Model Zara Abid, who is one of the top ten faces in the fashion industry, has recently ventured into acting and is all set to debut with Azeem Sajjad’s upcoming biopic, Chaudhry: The Martyr. Written by Zeeshan Junaid, the upcoming film is a story about slain police officer, Chaudhry Aslam Khan.

Instep got in touch with the model turned actor to find out about her role in the film. “I am essaying the character of a college-going girl, who is glamorous; she defines me pretty well. I believe that you will see the real Zara in the film. It’s a strong character and not a stereotypical one.”

According to the actress, she is quite excited about her debut project and shared that the experience of working with Azeem Sajjad has been great. “Since it is my debut as an actor, I have learnt a lot in terms of expressing myself in front of the camera. Moreover, Azeem Sajjad has been a great mentor and has guided me at every step of the way,” she added.

As far as the release is concerned, Zara informed that Chaudhry is expected to release in the beginning of 2020. Apart from Zara Abid, the film features Shamoon Abbasi, Sana Fakhar, Gia Ali and Yasir Hussain in important roles.
