LAHORE: Bahria Town relief operation continues with full force in the flood-hit areas under the supervision of Brigadier (R) Tahir Butt. Chairman Bahria Town Malik Riaz has established restoration fund with a handsome amount of Rs500 million for the flood-hit people, says a press release on Monday.
The scope of operation has been extended to Pasrur, Sambrial, Chakrore, Pakkah Garrah, Talal Mughallan, Shafi Da Bhata, Karkana Cantt, Kangran Road and Baghuwal Road. Besides this, Bahria Town has sent relief goods to the Indian shelling-hit-area of Bajwat where Bahria Dastarkhawan has also been established. Bahria Dastarkhawan has also been set up in Pakkah Garrah besides other areas of the city where two-time meal is served to over 10,000 people on a daily basis.
Mobile medical units of Bahria Town have also provided free treatment and medicines to over 7,000 victims, while over 13, 000 ration bags have been distributed through helicopter in far-flung areas. Besides ration, the cooking utensils were also included in the ration bags.
