Sami stars in Dollar East victory in AKG Ramzan Trophy

KARACHI: Mohammad Sami put up an impressive all-round performance to help Dollar East record a thrilling nine-run triumph over Sojhla International and confirm their semi-final spot in Aga Khan Gymkhana Ramzan Cricket Trophy here at AKG Ground.
Sami first scored 38 off only 16 balls to help his side put up a competitive total of 170-7, later claimed a wicket and also took two catches. Waqas Haroon scored 46 off 41 balls, while Khurrum Shahzad contributed 41 off 30.
Sojhla International (DG) were all out for 161 in 19.3 overs. Muhammad Arsalan (61 runs) and Muhammad Umar (54 runs) batted well. Nasir Awais captured four wickets, while Fakhar Zaman took three.
The first semi-final will be played between Dollar East and Omer Colts on Monday (today) at Aga Khan Gymkhana.
