Presently starring in romantic comedy play Shahrukh Ki Saaliyan, actor and host Ahsan Khan, has been actively involved in some philanthropic work, aside from essaying diverse roles onscreen. The latest is his association with Children’s Literature Festival as their Goodwill Ambassador and will commit his support to put a spotlight on modernising Pakistan’s archaic education system.

According to the presser, Ahsan will be working to make quality education accessible to all children in Pakistan and will help champion modern, cutting edge techniques for effective learning and instruction.

“I am honoured to be a member of the CLF family,” Ahsan noted in a press statement. “My passion for accessible, effective and universal education is well-known and I am glad to have found a platform to support a cause which has always been very near and dear to me. I have been aware of the tremendous work done by CLF for quite some time and I am glad to have been appointed as a CLF [Ambassador]. I plan to work tirelessly as a CLF Goodwill Ambassador and do my part in helping spread modern education throughout Pakistan.”

CLF is a not-for-profit, social movement cofounded by Baela Raza Jamil of Idara-e-Taleem-O-Aagahi (ITA) and Ameena Saiyid of the Adab Festival in collaboration with a number of private and public organizations. It aims to promote a culture of learning, which focuses on creativity, imagination, and multi-sensory stimulation, and not just on school textbooks, tests and examinations.
