- The Professor and the Madman (starring Mel Gibson, Sean Penn, Natalie Dormer, Eddie Marsan, Jennifer Ehle) - drama , based on Simon Winchester’s 1998 book The Surgeon of Crowthorne; a professor (Gibson) starts compiling the Oxford English Dictionary and receives over 10,000 entries from a doctor (Penn) undergoing psychiatric treatment.
