Poems forever
By Percy Bysshe Shelley
Make me thy lyre, even as the forest is:
What if my leaves are falling like its own!
The tumult of thy mighty harmonies
Will take from both a deep, autumnal tone,
Sweet though in sadness. Be thou, Spirit fierce,
My spirit! Be thou me, impetuous one!
Drive my dead thoughts over the universe
Like wither’d leaves to quicken a new birth!
And, by the incantation of this verse,
Scatter, as from an unextinguish’d hearth
Ashes and sparks, my words among mankind!
Be through my lips to unawaken’d earth
The trumpet of a prophecy! O Wind,
If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?
Miracles do happen...
By Anam Abid
When I look back in time,
Counting the blessings in disguise,
All I collect is unconditional love,
From the One who never judge,
Whenever He SWT says no to a thing,
That’s the actual blessing it brings,
My life is and will never be blacken,
Because all I believe is miracles do happen.
Sweet oblivion
By Gulrez Umar
We dwell in the outskirts of a vast empire
Mottled with majesty from its helm to the deepest bottom
(God knows wherever that is)
Yet in these cold stretches of emptiness
We are slowly dying by the plagues of urban hell
Isn’t our departure more sad than painful?
The fact that we will drift off on the roads towards oblivion;
unknown and unheard of
Leaving behind only silence to applaud the end of our song
And ages after a never ending charade of tomorrows
Every possible trace of our existence will crumble away
Having been oxidized by the winds of alien worlds
That once filled us up with life
But now maybe if we inhale them
They will feel so overwhelmingly unfamiliar.
Still, aeons further into the uncertain embrace of future
A great dimming will occur
And every raging star in the entire universe
Will wander off to obscure lands in extreme exhaustion
Until the last ray of light carrying the images of our existence
Will be lost in the corners of infinity
And the past will magically change itself
Into a picture in which we never were.
Two absorbing buildings
By Naweel Shah
Crumbling and distorting faces of two buildings
A-wailing, crying with dry eyes but lazily bending
Hugging each other happily step by step
Immersing in the dirt, as carcasses lying
Bricks, blocks, lobby, elevator, floors and roofs
All things aching but golden smoke is growing
Lost hope
By Aniqa Zainab
Dreams cease to exist
When we grow old
Even when come true
They fade away in time
Torn between
Crystal, still images
Of past
and hollowing, empty present
I am
Far from reality
Reality – which we live
Or which exists
Can you tell?
Striking it is
It pegs my mind
Unhoping my hope
Weaving an end
Infinite
A tomorrow
Undesired
Seeds of forgotten deeds
By Anum Kabir
Let’s un-dig the seeds
Seeds of our forgotten deeds
Deeds, wrapped in days of past ,
Ah! Unveil the tales of others scars
Scars that may not still heal
Changing roses of our lives into weeds
