Dining out with friends and family is a great way to get reconnected, but the monster-sized meals now served at many restaurants can spell disaster for your waistline. The good news is that you can still eat out without throwing a calorie bomb into your diet plan. You don’t have to be perfect - you just need to do a little damage control. Having said that, try to incorporate a good game plan, and for that you need to find places where you can satisfy both, your hunger pangs and your health!

Keeping this in mind, ‘Mouthful’ Soul Food restaurant was recently launched in the F7 area of Islamabad under the banner of Sair Riaz who shares a deep love for cuisines from around the globe, enjoys experimentation and loves to incorporate locally sourced organic ingredients. The restaurant always aimed at being something conceptually new, homely and healthy because of which it has been expanded in Islamabad after years of success in Lahore.

Located in the heart of Islamabad’s Posh F7 area, the launch had the main road blocked as Islooites rushed to get inside. The Roof Top Restaurant has seating inside and outside for those who want to take in the view and weather which is a trend in the upscale Union Gold mall now famous for its cafes and restaurants. The event was attended by leading hostess Natasha Hussain and models Sunny, Zaara, Jiya Malik, Sabeen and Zoya Khan while the organiser was Rezz Aly Shah.

While addressing the attendees at the launch ceremony, owner Sair Riaz shared, “Initially situated in Lahore, ‘Mouthful’ is Pakistan’s first natural and healthy food restaurant, now has opened its doors in Islamabad too. Nothing comes on its menu if we don’t think we have mastered it. For us our clients’ feedback matters a lot. Our menu is a spin around the world and we keep exploring for innovative ideas.”

Countering the fast food fad that has really lasted way too long, this food chain is gunning for slow food. Every offering is to be first mastered in their food lab, with only their top 10 food items - making it to a perpetually limited-edition menu.

If you are someone who is a foodie yet who wants to eat healthy, then look no further.
