KARACHI: The elections of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) will be held at Changla Gali in Abbottabad on June 30, it was learnt on Wednesday.
Sources said the PFF had informed the stakeholders about this through letters.
Changla Gali is located in Seer Gharbi which is a Union Council of Abbottabad district, which is 16 kilometre north of famous Galyat town of Murree.
In the elections, the incumbent PFF president Faisal Saleh Hayat faces a stiff challenge from former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa health minister and PFF’s long serving congress member Zahir Ali Shah.
The PFF decision to hold election in the far-flung area has raised many eyebrows. “The elections should have been held at the PFF headquarters in Lahore,” a source in Zahir Shah’s group said.
