ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is top most famous personality among all Pakistani leaders, has emerged as the 9th most popular world leader with over 9.4 million followers on social networking website Twitter.
The Premier is at the 9th most followed world leaders on Twitter, according to Spectator Index, a website that displays statistics and international rankings from the fields of politics, economics, history, military affairs, sports, science and technology.
PM Khan, with 9.4 million followers lies between Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum with 9.6 million followers and King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, who has a total of 7.3 million followers.
While followers of PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz were 5.06 million, and PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari 3.24 million.
The number one spot has been secured by US President Donald Trump who has a total of 59.5 million followers.
The premiere was popular even before coming into power, the last year spectator Index placed him at 7th spot with 8.17 million Twitter followers which after taking the premiership has shot up to 9.4 million followers.
