Our education system depicts a gloomy picture. Every year, during board examinations, members of district administration and board checkers regularly visit/raid every examination hall and their visits conclude by cancelling papers due to students being caught cheating.
For instance, an English paper was illegally shared last week two to three hours before the start of the exam. Unfortunately, in this case, teachers and invigilators were found guilty of this act. What is needed is a system to keep a check on educational institutions throughout the year rather than visiting them merely during examinations and collecting sacks of cheating material. During examination months, there are also raids on bookshops and stalls to stop sales of ‘pocket guides’. But why they do not raid these shops the rest of the months?
