KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr. Farooq Sattar on Monday questioned as to what is the legality of Saulat Mirza’s ‘unconstitutional statement’.
“It seems as if MQM was used in a trade to protect the ruling government,” he said in a statement issued here today.
He warned that the current state of affairs is pointing to a situation which might lead to an East-Pakistan like debacle.
Dr. Farooq Sattar said the proscribed outfits were regrouping in Karachi, adding, the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi are involved in Karachi’s sectarian violence.
“The middle-class politics is being pushed against the wall,” he regretted.
