LAHORE: A joint investigation team (JIT) on Wednesday took former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s statement in the Model Town case from Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail.
The JIT team was headed by National Highways and Motorways Police Inspector General AD Khowaja. Earlier, the JIT was granted permission by an accountability court to take the former premier’s statement in the case.
The JIT has also recorded the statements of other Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders, including Shahbaz Sharif, Khawaja Asif, Pervaiz Rashid and Rana Sanaullah in the same case.
