Elderly woman gets a home after PM Imran's intervention

As per orders of Prime Minister Imran Khan, PTI leader Aon Abbas visited the lady and provided her the help she needed.

ISLAMABAD: Taking swift action while responding to an appeal made by an old, homeless woman in Islamabad, Prime Minister Imran Khan as promised has made due arrangements for a proper shelter to be provided to the destitute lady.

On Wednesday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aon Abbas, Managing director Bait Ul Maal tweeted that as per the orders of PM Imran, his team has visited the lady today and has provided her the help she needed.

Abbas added that the woman was also given a cheque and some food items.

He also shared a video of the elder lady in which she gives PM Imran Khan prayers of a long life as well as blessings.

On Sunday, a video of the old woman went viral on social media, in which she was seen requesting to PM Imran Khan that she has nowhere to live and is spending her days and nights under the open sky.

In response, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad posted a tweet in which he wrote:

“The Prime Minister of Pakistan has personally called the lady. She talked to him on video call. Directions have been received. MD Baitul Mal is on site and resolving all the issues Alhamdolillah."

PM Imran then talked to the lady on a video call personally and promised her to take important measures for her assistance.
