Prime Minister Imran Khan sent out two tweets which accompanied the interview of Pakistani hero Naeem Rashid's widow conducted by an English language channel as the families buried their dead days after the tragedy shook the world.
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday posted on Twitter interview of the widow of Naeem Rashid,the Pakistani hero who lost his life while trying to stop a terrorist from killing worshippers at a mosque in Christchurch in New Zealand on Friday.
Naeem Rashid's teenage son Talha Naeem also lost his life in the assault.
The prime minister sent out two tweets which accompanied the interview of the widow conducted by an English language channel as the families buried their dead days after the tragedy shook the world.
"For all those within & outside the Muslim world these words of Shaheed Naeem Rashid's wife should make everyone understand the power of faith in Allah & Prophet Muhammed PBUH. How this faith in Allah and his Prophet PBUH transforms humans into strong & loving beings who can even feel pity for a terrorist, a mass murderer, who took away their loved ones" the prime minister captioned the footage.
At least 49 people were killed and many others injured when an Australian terrorist identified as Brenton Tarrant opened fire at two mosques.
According to Pakistan Foreign Office nine Pakistanis were also killed in the terrorist attack.
