In the recent period of rising inflation, low salary packages are offered to private school teachers. The salary of a private school teacher is between Rs6,000 and Rs8,000. This amount is not enough to meet basic expenses. Today, a labourer is earning Rs500 per day, but a teacher is getting Rs200/day. It is said that teaching is a noble profession and the greatest of all. So why are teachers not being treated in a fair manner?
It’s time the government intervened and took notice of the workings of private schools and made the owners pay at least Rs25,000 to Rs30,000 to every teacher.
