PTI govt determined to alleviate poverty: CM

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that the PTI government is determined to bring change and distribution of Insaf Sehat Card is one of its examples.

He said this while addressing a function held to distribute Insaf Sehat Card at Ghazi Medical College on Saturday. Usman Buzdar said that distribution of Insaf Sehat Card was started from the remote and poverty-hit areas of the south Punjab. He said that he represents himself as the representative of the under developed areas of Punjab, including Dera Ghazi Khan.

He expressed his hope that he would strive hard for upgradation and the development of the poverty-hit areas by following the vision of PM Imran Khan. Sardar Usman Buzdar said that Dera Ghazi Khan Division would soon be a part of most developed divisions.

He assured that the people would see a Naya Pakistan in DG Khan during the upcoming two years. He announced that Dera Ghazi Khan district had been declared as the model district regarding provision of health facilities.

Punjab Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid said that more than seven million Insaf Sehat Cards would be issued by the end of this year. State Minister Zartaj Gul, MPAs Sardar Mohsin Ata Khan Khosa, Sardar Ahmed Ali Dareshak, Muhammad Hanif, Dr Shaheena Najeeb, PTI district president Malik Muhammad Iqbal Saqib and others attended the event. Meanwhile, Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid alleged that previous government wasted billions of rupees of the south Punjab by spending these funds on Model Town.

After inaugurating the tele medicines services at the Teaching Hospital, she said that after successful launching of this model project, its jurisdiction would be extended to the rest of the provinces to facilitate the patients. She said that it was very distinctive project of the provincial government in which patients would get

online diagnostic and prescription services on a phone call.

The minister said that tribal pockets of Dera Ghazi Khan would also connect with tele medicine network gradually while medical consultants would be able to examine the patients through camera. She said that through the tele medicine network services, hospitals and the Children Hospital Lahore would be connected with the DHQ Hospital Dera Ghazi Khan and THQ Hospital Taunsa Sharif.
