Two alleged peddlers arrested

KARAK: The police foiled an attempt to smuggle a huge quantity of drugs and arrested two alleged peddlers, the police said on Sunday.Tehsil Takht-i-Nusrati DSP Sajid Mumtaz told a press conference that acting on a tip-off, a police party intercepted two motorcars and recovered 2.560kg crystal meth (ice) and 3.200kg hashish from it. Two alleged traffickers, Umar Daraz and Adil Rehman, residents of Sarki Lawagher, were also arrested. The police officer claimed that there was a network of drug smugglers and efforts were on to bring them to justice.
