Navjot Singh Sidhu ousted from The Kapil Sharma Show after remarks on the Pulwama attack

According to a report by the Indian Express, Navjot Singh Sidhu who had been part of The Kapil Sharma Show since 2016 was asked to leave after his remarks on the Pulwama district attack that killed over 40 Indian soldiers. He will now be replaced with Archana Puran Singh.

The Kapil Sharma Show dismissed Punjab cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu from the show after his remarks on the Pulwama terror attack.

According to a report by the Indian Express, the Indian politician who had been part of the show since 2016 was asked to leave after his remarks on the Pulwama district attack that killed over 40 Indian soldiers. He will now be replaced with Archana Puran Singh.

The report citing a source revealed: “His remarks have not been taken kindly by most. Also, the channel and the show was getting dragged into the unwanted controversy. This is when the team amicably decided that Navjot make a distance from the show. The team has already shot a couple of episodes with Archana.”

The former cricketer had earlier stated regarding the attack: “Nations cannot be held responsible for the dastardly acts of terrorists. The terrorists do not have deen, mazhab (sect and religion). There are good, the bad and the ugly. Every institution has them. Every nation has them. The ugly need to be punished. But individuals cannot be blamed for the dastardly act.”
