APCNGA Central Chairman Brig (retd) Iftikhar Ahmed, in a statement, said increased tariff and repeated gas crisis was benefitting the influential oil mafia, and it was also sending a negative message to foreign investors.

He said the government had decided to reopen CNG stations on February 13, but now the date has been extended to February 17, which indicated the incompetence of the officials concerned.

Ahmed said the CNG sector should not be compromised to benefit the influential, and the issue of gas scarcity should be resolved on a sustainable basis.
