ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday vowed that his party would check every singled unverified vote in NA-122.

According to the forensic report submitted by NADRA to the election tribunal 93,582 votes in NA-122 could not be verified.

“We have given 2.6 million to verify these votes. We will check all 93,000 votes to see if the ID cards match,” Khan told reporters after the judicial commission meeting on alleged poll rigging in the 2013 elections.

The PTI chairman further said according to his party’s calculations 15,000 of the 73,000 votes which were verified in NA-122 were bogus.

On May 9 NADRA officials submitted the forensic report pertaining to alleged rigging in NA-122 to the election tribunal.

According to the report 93,852 votes used counterfoils which NADRA could not process through the Automated Fingerprint Identification System because of the poor quality of fingerprints of voters. However, CNIC numbers mentioned on counterfoils were valid.

The report also found that 73,478 votes in the constituency were verified.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan had filed a petition against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq.
