LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC), Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi on Friday said threats for Harmain-Shareefain were increasing, therefore, the Muslim Ummah needs to be on one platform for protection the Holy places.

Giving a lecture at the Johar Town mosque, Ashrafi called the countries which were backing Houthi rebels attack on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the ‘enemies of Islam’.

He called upon the Pakistani government to join hands with Saudi officials and take every possible measure to safeguard the Harmain-Shareefain.

"Islam is not the religion of sectarianism and torture but it teaches the lessons of love, peace and harmony", he added.
