Actor and director Sarmad Khoosat, whose full-length debut film, Manto garnered critical acclaim and accolades, announced a few months ago that he has two films in the pipeline – his first ever Punjabi film and second Urdu feature film. And it was earlier this week that Sarmad Khoosat revealed the title of his Punjabi film - Zindagi Tamasha - for which Sarmad Khoosat purchased the rights of the well-known song ‘Zindagi Tamasha Bani’ from the popular Punjabi film, Naukar Wohti Da.

Latest reports suggest that the actor and director has wrapped up shooting for the film that features model turned actress Eman Suleman, Samia Mumtaz, Arif Hasan and Ali Kureishi in pivotal roles. The entire film has been shot in the beautiful city of Lahore.

Though the storyline and plotting has been done by Khoosat himself, Zindagi Tamasha is written by Nirmal Bano, a fresh graduate from NCA. Khoosat’s sister, Kanwal Khoosat takes the producer’s seat, while the music is composed by band Saakin.

This will be the first film to release under the banner of Khoosat Films, the release date for which has not been revealed as yet. An artist who’s constantly pushing new boundaries, let’s wait and watch what Sarmad comes up with next.
