Lahore Eurasia Film Festival to commence from December 20

The second Lahore Eurasia Film Festival (LEFF), hosted by the University Of Lahore (UOL), is round the corner. Starting from December 20, the two-day event will screen some of the best films from Europe and Asia in varied categories including feature films, shorts, documentaries, animated films and experimental films.

Aside from screenings, the festival will have panel discussions and talks with renowned filmmakers and critics from Pakistan’s film industry in attendance. The event will also distribute prize money worth PKR 50,000 among best films presented at the festival.

Entries were submitted for screening by December 1. Some of the films expected to screen at the festival include award winning documentary The Pursuit of Phantom that revolves around Snow leopards and Anjum Shahzad’s critically acclaimed Mah e Mir that features Fahad Mustafa, Iman Ali and Sanam Saeed in key roles. Post the film’s screening, there will be a Q & A with the cast and crew of the film.

LEFF 2018 aims to motivate upcoming filmmakers and provide a platform which can entertain cine-goers and also benefit filmmakers from Asia and Europe.
