Indonesian woman wears wedding gown alone after fiancé dies in plane crash

Syari told the press that her fiancé wanted her to get ready on the wedding day and send him pictures if he did not make it on time.

An Indonesian woman, Intan Syari wears her wedding gown alone on her wedding day to declare her love after fiancé who died in after airplane plunged into the sea.

Dr. Rio Nanda Pratama, was Intan Syari’s fiancé who was among 189 people who were killed when the Boeing 737 crashed on October 29 shortly after taking off from Jakarta.

Pratama and Syari were set to be married Sunday, however the groom didn’t make it to the wedding as he went to attend a seminar in Jakarta and was returning to get married in Pangkal Pinang in the flight that crushed.

Syari told the press that her fiancé wanted her to get ready on the wedding day and send him pictures if he did not make it on time.

She said, “We were just joking at that time. He asked me to still wear my wedding gown that he chose for me on our wedding day, put on beautiful makeup and hold a white rose bouquet, take good photos and send them to him.”

In order to fulfill her promise the bride went on with the plan and took photos in the white wedding gown with a white satin head covering and a white rose bouquet in her hand, surrounded by relatives and friends on the day she were to get married.

The 26 year old wrote a beautiful message on her Instagram professing her love for the deceased, “Although I actually feel grief that I cannot describe, I have to smile for you, I should not be sad, I have to stay strong as you always say to me, I love you, Rio Nanda Pratama.”

The couple started dating 13 years ago and Pratama was her “first love” said the unmarried bride.
