- Biographical drama; chronicles the story of the rock band Queen, focusing on singer Freddie Mercury (Malek), from their formation in 1970 till their Live Aid performance in 1985.
- Gets its title from the 1975 Queen song of the same name.
- Had a budget of nearly $55 million; has made $200 million in around two weeks.
- Has received mixed reviews from critics, who criticised its glaring historical inaccuracies and its inaccurate portrayal of the band members but praised Malek’s performance.
- Was originally announced in 2010, with Sacha Baron Cohen set to portray Mercury, but the actor left the project in 2013 due to creative differences.
- Director Bryan Singer was fired for absence and clashing with the cast and crew in December 2017 and Dexter Fletcher was hired to complete the film.
