Shaniera Akram slams troll and comes to Pakistan's defense

Pakistan’s senior journalist Fifi Haroon after tweeting about Perwani’s Diwali bash, was hurled with criticism by a Twitter troll who termed Wasim and Shaniera Akram, journalist Aama Isani and Feroze Khan as not being in line with the culture of Pakistan.

KARACHI: Shaniera Akram, wife of cricket legend Wasim Akram, came to the defense of Pakistan on Monday after a troll labelled the guests at designer Deepak Perwani’s Diwali celebration ‘not representative of Pakistani culture.’

Pakistan’s senior journalist Fifi Haroon after tweeting about Perwani’s Diwali bash, was hurled with criticism by a Twitter troll who termed Wasim and Shaniera Akram, journalist Aama Isani and Feroze Khan as not being in line with the culture of Pakistan.

The social media user, however, was soon silenced by Shaniera who stated:

“One of Pakistan’s biggest designers, A world renowned cricketer, a dedicated international journalist, a popular budding actor, an amazing PR woman, All Pakistani,All employed,All working for the betterment of our country at their capacity! Which Pakistan are you living in dude?”
