PML-N's Khawaja Saad Rafique on Sunday won NA 131 Lahore by-election securing 60,352 against PTI's Hammyun Akhtar Khan who bagged 50,155 votes to stand second in the constituency that was won by PTI's chief Imran Khan in the July 25 polls.
NA-131 was one of the fiercely contested constituencies in the by-election 2018 from where senior PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique was fighting for the seat against Humayun Akhtar Khan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
According to unofficial results received from NA 131 Lahore Khawaja Saad Rafique won the seat which he lost in the July 25 polls against PTI chairman Imran Khan.
As many as 28 independents were also vying for the seat which fell vacant after Imran Khan, who had won in July 25, decided to retain his Mianwali constituency.
