Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have been passing resolution after resolution about the China-Pakistan economic corridor route but for the federal government these resolutions seem to have no importance. Every day, we hear that the corridor route has not been changed but there are no signs of practical work on the original route. On the contrary we saw the inauguration of the motorway to Karachi and various energy projects in Punjab. These projects should be initiated but why are western parts of the country always excluded from development work?
There are no signs of mega projects in the tribal areas and Balochistan. It seems the PML-N government is bent upon brushing the issue under the carpet and wants to do whatever it wishes to. This is not the 1990s and people can no longer be kept in the dark.
