Actor Saman Ansari has a number of remarkable plays such as Dar Si Jati Hai Sila and the blockbuster Khaani to her credit. She started off her career from radio and later ventured into acting and is now all geared up to make her theatrical debut with Jasoosi Duniya - Eik Comedy.
The theatre production will premiere tomorrow (October 4) at 8:00 pm at the National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA), Karachi, and will run till October 13, 2018.
The play is an adaptation of Sam Bobrick’s The Psychic and is directed by Khalid Ahmed. While The Psychic revolves around a mystery writer called Adam Webster who needs money to cover his bills, Jasoosi Duniya, according to Saman Ansari, is a murder mystery of sorts with a comic element to it.
In an earlier interview with Instep, the actor revealed that she will play a key role in Jasoosi Duniya which is quite different from the roles she has done on television. She further stated that this will be her first experience with theatre and that it is a lot more demanding and challenging than TV. As far as the play is concerned, it is two hours long and is fast-paced with a lot of twists and turns.
