Speaking of which, one name that comes to mind is of designer Huma Adnan, who has delved into the craft of exquisite bridals after making her mark in pret wear.
Huma Adnan has recently opened doors to her bridal store in Dolmen Mall Clifton, Karachi. The newly designed store clearly communicates the essence of her brand and the clothes that are a true reflection of her design sensibilities. The launch was an exclusive and elegant affair with key influencers, celebrities and socialites in attendance, including Hadiqa Kiani, Sarah Khan, Noor Khan, Misbah Mumtaz, Sabrina Furqan among others.
“I’m very excited about the launch of my bridal store which has been a labour of love for our brand and the design sensibility has always been traditional with a twist, bringing together lands, cultures and distant roots,” said Huma Adnan.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the collection, she described, “My ancestral hometown of Dheradun, India, inspired me to make this collection which envelops the fabrics, textures and colours of the town. I believe in mixing traditions and cultures of the past with our present in order to represent our roots and to keep us grounded. My designs are for women on the go who are enlightened, accomplished and empowered. However, they need to relate to traditions when it comes to weddings.”
