LAHORE: The Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR) will hold a seminar on food safety in collaboration with Nestlé Pakistan to mark World Health Day, according to a press release.
The theme of the seminar, which will be held at the end of April, will correspond with the global theme of the day this year: “Food Safety.”
Unsafe food contaminated with harmful viruses, bacteria, parasites and chemical substances causes more than 200 diseases worldwide and is linked to almost two million deaths across the globe every year, the World Health Organization estimates, the press release said.
