Pakistan should not commit the strategic mistake of getting involved in the Yemeni conflict. We should never side with one Muslim country against the other. Let the Saudis and the Yemenis work it out. Pakistan must maintain its previous role of a unifier in the Ummah. We have already borne the brunt of mistakes made in previous wars which were not at all our own.
Yemenis are not our enemies. It is better to stay away from this conflict. Our disastrous foreign policy of getting involved in unrelated issues has brought serious and long-term repercussions to our country. It is in the best interests of all Muslims to come together and put forward a mechanism to solve their conflicts peacefully.
