When you think of food and snacks, you might conjure up images of lounging in a classy restaurant with fancy snacks being served in style; a sort of eatery that you usually see with a cosy ambiance and a menu that offers all the scrumptious recipes at your service. Sounds delightful, doesn’t it? When it comes to burgers, sandwiches, steaks and other food items, there are many cult-loved burger joints out there, which have the potential to win over your heart...and stomach. But, it doesn’t hurt to have more places to explore.

Keeping this in mind, ‘Cravings’, a burgers and steaks restaurant has been recently launched in Islamabad’s F7 area. The launch was organised by Rezz Aly Shah with a red carpet event hosted by models Natasha Hussain, Nosheen, Zara and Sabeen. The ceremony featured a glamorous party attended by several socialites, media persons, bloggers and others.

This is a venture of two friends, Suhaib Yaseen and Naveed Zafar, coming from the real estate and builder backgrounds; who teamed up to open this new eatery which is a new addition to the burger joints in Islamabad.

The owners spoke to the media about their restaurant, “While we have known each other for almost 12 years, the only motivation for us to meet up was food. We would go out and explore new eateries being opened in Karachi and Lahore. We would often ‘crave’ for burgers and sandwiches, and if we were happy with the food, we texted each other to let the other one know.”

While adding more to the story, they said, “During one of these outings, we didn’t have luck finding a good sandwich. We were so disappointed that Naveed proposed to open up our own set up. This was just a thought in the air but a week after that, Naveed called and asked me to meet him at Jinnah Super. I saw him standing in front of an abandoned place that used to be a shoe shop, and he had a bunch of paper work in his hand. It was a partnership deed and agreement of the property. I was taken by surprise, but honestly, passion for food is worth anything. That’s how ‘Cravings’ came into being. The taste is close to the one we crave for in comfort food with a touch of chef-ism.”

So, if you’re ‘craving’ for comfort food, head on down to this new eatery in heart of Islamabad.
