Despite the prime minister’s notice that there will be no loadshedding at least during iftar and sehri, the KE authorities have been carrying out power outages at this time. Residents have to cook sehri in darkness. In this extreme weather, fasting becomes difficult if there is no electricity.
Not all of us are fortunate enough to have air-conditioners in our homes. Fruit vendors and other small businesses are also having a tough time managing their trade without electricity in this hot weather. The government should take action to resolve this problem so that people can spend this year’s Ramazan in peace.
