More than six months ago, a pipeline in Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 16 was burst. Since then, there has been a huge wastage of clean water. On one hand the common man is dying because of water scarcity while on the other hand tens of gallons of clean water are getting wasted because of the incompetence of the authorities. The Sindh government, which believes in the politics of words rather than actions, should have a look at the challenges that are faced by residents on a daily basis.
Our leaders are divorced from the reality in which the common man lives. All promises are limited to election campaigns. Once these leaders are elected into power, they forget about the promises that they have made to voters. Any party that wants to succeed in the upcoming elections should start resolving the issues faced by people. Conducting political gatherings – no matter how huge they are – will not lead parties to favourable results.
