NEW DELHI: As Sonam Kapoor's wedding preparations are in full swing at the Kapoor house, Bollywood’s legendary actor Anil Kapoor has also reportedly geared up his rehearsal to perform on his item number ‘My Name is Lakhan’ at the occasion of his daughter's marriage with Delhi-based businessman Anand Ahuja on May 8.
It is learnt that his friends Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik would also join him at the performance on the wedding extravaganza to enthrall the guests, while Anil's dance on his favourite song is expected be held on Sonam and Anand’s sangeet.
Anand reportedly proposed to Sonam within a month of their first meeting in 2014 through fashion designer Pernia Qureshi, Sonam’s stylist, thereon their posts and admiration on social media for each other convinced everyone that they are in love.
Their families released a joint statement about their wedding. The statement read, “The Kapoor and Ahuja families take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the May 8 in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”
