The Sindh AIDS Control Programme (SACP) has revealed that the primary cause of the spread of HIV/AIDS infection is unscreened blood transfusion. In Pakistan, the current number of people who have contracted the infection is close to 131,000.
The federal government has to implement proper laws across all provinces to prevent people from contracting fatal diseases caused by unscreened blood.
