This refers to the article, ‘American brilliance, Saudi anguish’ (March 10) by Ayaz Amir. The writer rightly pointed to the fact that what the US is doing to the world – its policy of intervention, its role in spreading turmoil, springing up terrorist forces as a reaction to its actions and then waging wars against those very terrorist organisations it helped create in the first place – Pakistan is doing in its own territory.
The writer has quite rightly pointed to the militant-establishment nexus. From day one our foreign policy is largely US-centric but does this also mean following in their footsteps?
