PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Thursday formed a four-member committee to probe the alleged corruption in the Billion Tree Tsunami Project. The committee will comprise legal consultant and two investigation officers who will acquire all the record of the project from the forest department, a private TV channel reported. The committee headed by a grade-19 officer has initiated consultations to begin probe against former chief secretary and two additional chief secretaries. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is claiming to have sown more than one billion plants in the province. All the opposition parties had accused the KPK government of irregularities and corruption in the mega project, after which NAB chairman Javed Iqbal had directed to probe the allegations.
