Pakistan is one of the most vulnerable countries in the world but very few studies have been conducted to measure the range and scale of the impact of climate change on the country.
We will participate in the 21st global conference (COP 21) to be held in Paris in December this year and present our case of vulnerability to climate change there. Our country’s position on various issues and topics will come under discussion at COP 21. It is expected that the upcoming COP 21 will bring a positive and balanced way forward for the world as a whole. In view of this there is a need to clarify our intended and pledged cooperation. Also, COP 21 is expected to agree on a legal framework to cut greenhouse gas emissions, technology development and financing, etc. Moreover, we need help in areas like technical, scientific, logistical arrangements and other human resource inputs to add value to this national level effort.
