LAHORE: Hamid Sharif of Royal Palm Golf Club produced a scintillating display to secure the net title in the seniors category (55 years and above) of the Quaid-e-Azam Amateur Golf Championship here at the Lahore Gymkhana Golf Course the other day.
Hamid managed a net score of 65 in the 18-hole contest. The other golfer who performed superbly was Dr Zafar Nasrullah of Lahore Gymkhana. He played exceedingly well and with the help of a net score of 69, he secured the runners-up slot. The third position was captured by Wing Commodore Abdul Nafay.
In the gross section of Seniors, Imran Ahmed showed his prowess and succeeded in carding a gross score of 76. The other one to perform well in the gross section was Omer Farooq of Lahore Gymkhana.
In the ladies’ category, Shahzadi Gulfam of Punjab Police emerged victorious in the net section with a score of 71. The second spot was shared by Zahida Durrani and Ayesha Moazzam who each scored 74.
