CM Sindh ensures to hold PSL–3 matches in Karachi with fool-proof security

“We promised last year we will hold the final in Karachi. We have fulfilled that promise, now we have to make it a success,” he said.

KARACHI: Chief minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah said that we have fulfilled our promise, made last year to the people of the province, for holding the mega event of the Pakistan Super League -3 in Karachi and now it is the duty of all of us to make the event a success.

“We promised last year we will hold the final in Karachi. We have fulfilled that promise, now we have to make it a success,” he said.

He directed all the related institutions and departments to work together in a close coordination to hold the mega event in a calm and peaceful atmosphere.

He said this while presiding over a high-level meeting regarding the preparations for the PSL – 2018 here at the Chief Minister House on Friday.

The meeting was attended by his various cabinet ministers and secretaries, chief secretary, principal secretary toCM Sindh, DG Rangers, IG Police Sindh, commissioner Karachi, Mayor Karachi, additional IG, additional IG special branch, Airport security force, DIG East, DIG South, DC East, 5-Core Karachi, director and manager of security & anti-corruption, executive director JPMC, senior manager security Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), general manager National Stadium Karachi and other concerned officials.

The meeting reviewed all possible arrangements for a coordinated fool-proof security for the PSL-3 matches.

The CM formed a four-member committee, under his supervision, to send a work plan from time to time.

Besides, the CM called a further meeting for the arrangements of the PSL matches on February 14.
