The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa, chaired the 208th Corps Commanders Conference, which was held here at the General Headquarters on Wednesday. While terming the Indian ceasefire violations as detrimental to peace, the forum maintained that any Indian misadventure shall be responded effectively.

“Indian CFVs (ceasefire violations) are detrimental to peace, however, these or any other Indian misadventure shall be responded effectively,” the corps commanders observed. “The forum reviewed the geo-strategic and security environment, especially in the context of the US security-related policies for the region,” the ISPR said.

The progress of operation Raddul Fasad and increased Indian cease fire violations were also discussed. The forum reiterated that the gains of years long counter terrorism efforts shall be consolidated to achieve enduring peace and stability both for Pakistan and the region.
