LAHORE: President Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) and former Director General Sports Punjab Syed Khawar Shah was on Wednesday laid to rest at the ancestral graveyard at Jhang. A large number of people from different walks of life, officials of Pakistan and Punjab Sports Board including Agha Amjadullah, Azam Dar and Hafeez Bhatti attended the funeral ceremony. They also condoled with Khawar Shah’s brothers Manzar Shah and Kaswar Shah and son Fakhar Shah. Floral wreath was laid on the grave from PSB and Army Sports Board. The deceased’s Qul will be held on January 18 at 2 pm at Sports Complex Gojra Road Jhang. Meanwhile messages of condolence are pouring in. Pakistan Kabaddi Federation secretary Mohammad Sarwar said: “It is matter of deep sorrow and grief for the entire family of Pakistan Kabaddi Federation to know about the sad demise of Syed Khawar Shah, President PFB. May Allah rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage and fortitude to his family to bear this irreparable loss.”
