SL rout Australia by 303 runs

LAHORE: Sri Lanka defeated Australia by the huge margin of 303 runs at Ajman Oval Cricket Ground, Ajman UAE. Sri Lanka opted to bat first after winning the toss. The match was reduced to 35 over per innings due to delay start caused by overnight heavy rain. Sri Lankan batsmen toiled Ausies bowling and piled up 485 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in allotted 35 overs. Suranga Sampath was their leading runs getter with 130 runs off 85 balls. Ruwan Wasantha also scored a brisk century; he made 111 runs off 59 balls. Daniel claimed 2 wickets for Australia. Australia chasing the huge total of 486 runs was bowled out on only 182 runs. Stephen Palmer played well for his 49 runs. Upul Sanjewa was the pick of the bowlers by claiming 3 wickets. Suranga Sampath was declared Man of the Match while the title of Most Valuable Player went to Stephen Palmer.
