Netflix opens promo for ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ second series

LOS ANGELES: Netflix fans came across a tweeted announcement on New Year’s Day for the upcoming second series based-off on Daniel Handler’s 13-book ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ – which will premiere on March 30.

The Twitter account for the show kick started the promotional attempt on Monday morning with a poem with a "(.com)" at the end, leading to a website with another poem intoned for ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events' Netflix page showcasing the teaser.

“There’s no happy endings, not here and not now, this Verse is all Fluctuation and woes, you might dream that justice and peace win the day, but that's not how the Declaration goes (.com)”, the official account of ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ tweeted.

The series introduce black comedy as three orphaned siblings try to uncover the mystery behind their parents’ death and involvement in a secret society, where Neil Patrick Harris featuring as their scary uncle Count Olaf comes in character for the teaser speaking directly to the viewers before revealing clips from the second season.

“I’m so sorry to disturb your recovery but it’s time for us to get this New Year’s Day binge started,” the Harris goes on, “Now there may be some of you who are surprised that Netflix would choose this to be the first face you see in 2018, but those are the same people who wouldn’t recognize handsome if it set your house on fire”.

The showcase to the first season was an eight episodes carrier premiered on January 13, 2017 – where the later season is to proceed it with another 10 episodes to the series – dragging focus on to adapting books as ‘The Austere Academy’, ‘The Ersatz Elevator’, ‘The Vile Village’, ‘The Hostile Hospital’, including ‘The Carnivorous Carnival’.
