KARACHI: Pakistan under-17 cricket team narrowly defeated England Development Programme under-17 cricket team by two wickets in their second one-day match at ICC Academy in Dubai.
According to information made available here, England batted first in the match and put on board 210-8 in 50 overs. Wicket-keeper batsman Moores (59 runs) and opener and captain Holden (54 runs) batted well for the side.
Shadab Khan bowled lethally and captured four wickets, conceding 38 runs in 10 overs. Mohammad Asghar took two wickets.
Pakistan made a shaky start and were reduced to 55-4 in the 16th over, but Y Babar and Umaid Masood (39 runs) stabilised the innings. Y Babar scored 78 not out, which included 10 boundaries.
